Are you a man aged 35-60? Be Part of Changing Men's Mental Wellbeing in Hampshire

A message from Jack, Public Health Practitioner, Mental Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention, Hampshire County Council.

"Every day, men in Hampshire are facing life challenges - bereavement, relationship breakdown, job loss and many others, and these can deeply affect their mental health. Too often, these struggles remain hidden. Together, we can change that.

My name is Jack and I am a public health practitioner for mental wellbeing and suicide prevention in Hampshire. I am deeply passionate about working to support our fellow residents who are struggling the most. Having my own lived experience of poor mental health as a man, I am privileged to now be working to support local men who are also going through tough times.

Get involved

Hampshire County Council Public Health is running an anonymous survey to understand men’s experiences,  and what truly helps during these tough times. This insight will shape new programmes, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives that can make a real difference.

Complete the survey here.

Why your role matters

Your organisation will have both male employees and/or men that use your service. By sharing this survey, you can help ensure their voices are heard - and help us build support that works, both for the men who complete this survey and for other men who live across Hampshire.

• Please share the survey link with men aged 35-60 who work for your organisation or who are connected to your services. Complete this yourself if this is relevant to you and your experience!
• Encourage them to take 10 minutes to make their experience count.
• Let them know that their insights will directly shape this work and they will be informed of exactly what is being carried out, starting in 2026."
