Are you aged 55+ and have experienced a major health event in the past 5+ years?

The University of Southampton is looking at how adults aged 55+ emotionally and psychologically adjust to major physical health events such as a stroke, cancer diagnosis, or serious accident.

These events often have a profound impact on mental health, influencing coping, identity, and wellbeing.

Given the strong connections between physical illness, emotional adjustment, and longer‑term mental health outcomes, the University hope this research will contribute to a broader understanding of how best to support individuals navigating these challenges.

The University are currently inviting participants aged 55 and above to complete an anonymous online questionnaire that takes approximately 25–30 minutes.

Further information is included in the attached poster, and you can complete the survey here.
