Home Instead are looking for groups across the south to create a unique fidget or sensory blanket that reflects the group’s personality. These special blankets will be exhibited in December and given as Christmas presents to elderly people living with dementia in our local area. There are prizes for the top three – so get creative!
Started by Mary (aged 93) and her daughter Penny, they have been making these blankets for the past 5 years and we have been giving them out to the elderly and vulnerable with dementia. You can read their full story here
